Getting the match played

The website's fixture notes are to be used to arrange matches.
The match should aim to be played during the fixture week. If the match cannot be played during that time, then it should be arranged to be played in the following week.
The home team is responsible for contacting their opponent and arranging a date/time to play within the fixture week.
Once a date is agreed amongst the participants it should not be missed. If a participant misses an arranged time, the available participant should bring this to the attention of the league official to ensure any 'trends' are addressed.

Q&A

Q: I am going on holiday for 2 weeks which would mean that I am unable to play the matches in the 14 day limit.
A: If you have a clean disciplinary record, then you may well be given additional time to play your matches. If you have previously been disciplined then you are likely to be forced to forfeit the matches you are unable to play within the 14 day limit (at the discretion of the LO and RPEL administrator). Post in the dressing room that you will be away and add fixture notes to each of the fixtures you will not be able to play on time.
Q: I am due to play my match against [Participant] tomorrow, but I now cannot make it and have been unable to contact him! What should I do?
A: PM both your opponent and your LO. This will avoid any mis-called 'fouls' being recorded against you. You should then arrange to play the match ASAP via the usual method.
Q: I suspect my opponent of cheating. What should I do about that?
A: Do not start an argument in the dressing room by posting accusations. Doing so resolves nothing and just causes bad feeling. If you suspect an opponent of cheating (creating lag, not being the person you are meant to be playing etc) then contact myself or your LO immediatly, setting out your suspicions and reasons. Each case will be investigated seperately.

The Golden Rules

  1. Have fun!
  2. Keep your LO and Opponents informed by using fixture notes.
  3. Try as much as possible to play your matches on time.
